The new GS CL-1 1/18th off-road buggy is the design work of long time 1/8th off-road designer Claude Lachat. Claude, who was also responsible for the Laro range of cars, has now turned his design talents to the new Storm CL-1. This is his first design for GS and it utilises all the latest in off-road technology and engineering practices.

The design brief was simple; make the car as “RACER FRIENDLY” as possible whilst retaining the versatility demanded by today's drivers, and of course the ability to win. The chassis offers the lowest centre of gravity in a 1/8th buggy today, with the centre of weight mass concentrated as close to the centre line as possible.

The Storm CL-1 is quick and easy to set up for all types of tracks no matter how diverse, from the slippery dry clay tracks to the incredible high traction found on grass tracks in the UK. This is the result of the well thought out suspension geometry and settings making the chassis equally at home on the smooth fast tracks or the rough bumpy cut up surfaces we've all experienced.
